Abstract


Objectives: The Purpose of this study was to examine the effect of toothbrushing instruction and oral education on changing the oral behavior and oral knowledge of students in first graders of middle school.

Methods: IRB approval was obtained from March 2020 to December 2020 to protect the subjects ethically. The data was collected from the questionnaire for first graders in middle schools.

Results: Respondents responding to brushing three times a day and the ¡®rotating method', ¡®over two minutes~less than three minutes' about brushing time. After lunch, toothbrushing was increased by 15.1% to 24.6% after education.

Conclusions: Dental health education experience has been confirmed to foster the correct oral health knowledge and positively change oral health improvement behavior.
